It was 21st July 2014. India was playing the last day (5th Day) of the 2nd test against England at Lords. The 1st Test was a dull affair at Nottingham after the pitch proved to be difficult to bowl on. There was a bit of fire amongst both the teams after it was reported that India had complained against Anderson of physical abuse against Ravindra Jadeja at lunch on day 2 of the 1st test which led to level 3 charges being brought against Anderson and level 2 against Jadeja.
On this day, I was fortunate to watch India winning the match convincingly. Ishant Sharma, bowling short and aggressively with the old ball, produced one of the most memorable spells in the history of Indian fast bowling to destroy England’s resistance.
It was an unforgettable day for me and my friend Nanjund Bhat. Both of us witnessed one of the historic win for India at Lords cricket ground.
